Week 4 - Part 1

Hey all!
Week four is really charged up for us here. So you're going to see photos of lots of different activities. Hope you enjoy Part 1 of this week!
On Monday, the students spent the afternoon with young kids aging 5 - 12. These are kids who have learning disabilities and many come from troubled families. Overall, the students engaged very well with the kids and had a fantastic time.
Before heading to their classroom, we practiced a French song which the students would sing for the kids. Once there, we began the interaction with some songs. The French kids sang for our students and then it was our students' turn.

After this, the teachers created small groups so that each of our IUHPFL student could play with 2 to 3 kids of Saint-Louis. Some groups played with different kinds of building games like Lego and magnetic tiles. Others played boards games and other games like Dominoes.

After an hour of lots of games, everyone headed outside to play. It was amazing to see our students and these kids getting along so well, almost as if they had been friends for a long time!

This was our fun Monday! Stay tuned for bowling on Tuesday and some football on Wednesday!
Ciao!
